Short one today.
Sation is live. iOS landed earlier this week. Android went up this morning. Both stores, both free for seven days, no waitlist, no “we’ll let you know when”. You can open this on your phone right now and start a session before lunch.
The thing we said in April
In the first post on this blog, we wrote “iOS and Android launch together in May.”
It would have been easier to ship iOS first and let Android slip a quarter. Most apps do. We wrote it down anyway because we didn’t want anyone to pick up Sation on one platform and find that the friend they wanted to recommend it to was locked out for three months. Conversation practice is a strange thing to gatekeep by phone OS.
So — both, this week. Not because the date was magic, but because we said the date.
What Sation is, in two sentences
If you’re new here: Sation is a voice-first conversation coach. You practise unscripted small talk with warm AI characters, get scored on delivery and connection, and take one tiny real-world challenge into your day.
The longer version — the why, the research, the who-it’s-for — is in the introduction post.
What’s in the box on day one
- Four scenario packs — Social Basics, Making Friends, Dating, Professional.
- Recurring AI characters — Maya the barista, Tom the new colleague, Michael at the gym, Priya your neighbour — who remember what you talked about last time.
- Two-axis scoring — delivery (pace, pauses, fillers) and connection (curiosity, empathy, balance, flow).
- Micro-challenges — thirty-second things to try in real life today.
- A streak that bends instead of breaking when life gets in the way.
Same on both platforms. We didn’t ship a “lite” build for either.
How to get it
- iOS — App Store
- Android — Play Store
- Or just go to /download and let it figure out which one you need.
Seven days free. No card up front. If small talk is a muscle you’ve been meaning to rebuild, today is a fine day to start.
Back to the research posts next.
